Oppenheimer may have been named the Best Picture of 2023, but io9 reserves that honor for its spiritual sequel. We’re talking about Godzilla Minus One, the creature feature from the legends at Toho, which follows a monster born from the technology Oppenheimer helped create. io9 said it’s the best film of the year and we stand by it.

Of course, Godzilla Minus One was also an Oscar winner recently—it won for Best Visual Effects, thanks to its jaw-dropping work with the big man himself as well as action set pieces on land and sea. The runaway success of the film is something we’ll be thinking about for a long time and now you can think about it every time you walk into a room with this stunning new poster.
