MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — New reports have been released, which detail incidents listing 30-year-old Mica Miller, of Myrtle Beach, as the victim.

Miller died by suicide on April 27 at the Lumber River State Park in Robeson County. Since then, the details surrounding her death have gained national interest.

ABC15 requested reports from the Myrtle Beach Police Dept. (MBPD) that listed Mica Miller as a victim. In the report detailed in this article, MBPD lists Mica as the complainant.

On February 21, MBPD responded to 300 Coastal Grand Circle for a stolen vehicle report.

The complainant said she had been separated from her husband, whom the report identifies as John-Paul Miller, since January 2023.

She told police she was "involuntarily hospitalized" on February 8 and left her silver Honda Accord in the Walmart Neighborhood Market parking lot on Walton Drive, according to the incident report.

When she was discharged on February 10, the report said hospital staff informed her that John-Paul picked up her purse and car keys while she was hospitalized. After she was released, the complainant told police she went back to the Walmart parking lot and her car was gone. She reported she believed John-Paul "stole" her car while she was admitted.

The complainant told police she had known her husband since she was 10 years old and that he "groomed" her while she worked for John-Paul at Solid Rock Church -- up to the point they were married in 2018, per the report.

The officer contacted John Paul, who said he and his wife were not legally separated and that she "suffers from mental health disorders," the report details. John-Paul also reportedly told the officer that she experiences "episodes" on an annual basis near Christmas when she "becomes reckless and spends large amounts of money when she stops taking her prescribed medication."

John-Paul said he had the car in question and that it was marital property. He told police he was unwilling to return the car for a month, which he claimed was usually the timeframe of these "reckless episodes," police reported.

Police concluded that since both parties were legally married, the vehicle was marital property and no criminal offense could be established.

The Horry County Police Dept. also released reports earlier this week that described harassment incidents Mica experienced prior to her death, even stating she was "afraid for her life."

On Tuesday, the Robeson County Sheriff's Office released the 911 call, stills of security footage and a timeline that detailed the day Mica died.

Mica’s family met with deputies to discuss their investigation findings. However, John-Paul asked the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office to meet him in South Carolina. Sheriff Burnis Wilkins said they do not plan to travel to South Carolina.

Friends and family held a rally Sunday out front of Solid Rock Church, calling for justice for Mica. Mica's family also held a memorial service Sunday afternoon - at the same time a memorial service, hosted by Mica's estranged husband Pastor John-Paul Miller, was held at the Solid Rock Church.

An announcement made by the church Monday said Pastor John-Paul Miller was released from his ministerial functions for "a time of healing, counsel, and guidance, pursuant to our governing instrument." The church's website was also suspended over the weekend.
