New Zealand vs Afghanistan Live Score, T20 World Cup 2024 Match Today: An excellent knock of 80 runs from Rahmanullah Gurbaz has helped Afghanistan post 159/6 in 20 overs against New Zealand in match 14 of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

After being put into bat, Afghanistan got off to a decent start. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran after a cautious start put on a solid 103 runs for the opening wicket. New Zealand were sloppy in the field as they dropped a couple of easy catches and missed out on multiple run-out chances in the first half of the innings.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz notched up his fifty, while Zadran fell for 44, with Matt Henry proving the Kiwis the much-needed breakthrough. Azmatullah Omarzai played scintillating cameo of 22 runs off 13 balls before falling to Henry. Gurbaz continued his merry ways and contributed 80 runs off 56 balls.

Afghanistan lost a few quick wickets in the death overs and were restricted to 159/6 in 20 overs. Trent Boult and Matt Henry bagged a couple of wickets for New Zealand, while Lockie Ferguson celebrated a solitary wicket. For New Zealand, Trent Boult (2/22), Matt Henry (2/37) and Lockie Ferguson (1/28) shared the spoils.
