Luis Castro may soon be history at Al Nassr.

The Portuguese coach will be dismissed by the Riyadh club's board after yesterday's 4-1 thrashing by Al Hilal, a defeat that not only meant the loss of another title (Nassr has failed to win either of the last two leagues) but also provoked the visible anger of Cristiano Ronaldo, in images that have gone viral around the world.

Castro was a coach endorsed by Cristiano, and who arrived with the star's essential 'yes'. The board, chaired by Ibrahim Al Muhidib, made the decision on Sunday, although it will not be official until the new coach is in place.
