At the 76th annual Emmy Awards, Anna Sawai made history when she took home the prize for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series, becoming the first actor of Asian descent to ever claim the award.

As she accepted her history-making prize, Sawai looked stunning in a bright red custom dress from Vera Wang, which she accessorized with platinum drop earrings and a white gold diamond ring from Cartier. This wasn’t Sawai’s first time working with the brand, and now, fresh off her win, she has been named the latest ambassador for the luxury jewelry company.

“For me, the Maison represents a world of creativity that constantly pushes the boundaries, exploring the beauty of savoir-faire and cultivating an original gaze on the world,” Sawai said in a statement. “Wearing these creations feels like stepping into a dream.” Talk about a good week.

Balenciaga Unveils Grungy New Flagship on Greene Street

NOUA UNU STUDIO

Only Balenciaga could get away with opening a lavish new store that looks like a dilapidated cellar.

Ahead of New York Fashion Week, the luxury Spanish-French fashion brand got a new home in Manhattan, a flagship unveiled at 110 Greene Street. The new SoHo store, in the heart of a shopping district, offers the latest from Balenciaga in ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, jewelry, eyewear, and accessory collections for both men and women.

Leaning into the brand’s raw-architecture approach, the brick-and-mortar space was treated to look as if it had been through demolition and aging over time. In a press release, the brand said the space is meant to “instill a sense of temporality,” and is “in effect an art installation that interacts with fashion and its clientele in a singular way.”

As a thoughtful touch, the floor features the black-and-beige diamond-point marble design as founder Cristóbal Balenciaga’s original atelier in Paris, which he opened in 1937. You can visit the new shop in SoHo now.

Rimowa has certainly made a name for itself in the high-end luggage space. Now, the German brand is translating the aluminum groves of its suitcases to a tinier accessory. Deemed “the Original Bag,” the label’s newly unveiled unisex handbag offers the same bold and sturdy look as its carry-on predecessor.

According to the maison, this bag was years in the making, and its arrival is being celebrated with a new campaign that sees stars like supermodel Liu Wen, rapper Central Cee, journalist and Off-White creative director Ib Kamara, and photographer Larissa Hofmann all rocking the bag.

The Latest Collab From Tod’s Fuses Two Histories of Craftsmanship

Tod's

At Tod’s, customers know they’ll be treated to the highest level of craftsmanship. Since the late 1920s, the Italian luxury fashion house has been making finely crafted products, and now, thanks to a new collaboration with Rahul Mishra, the brand is fusing Italian artisanal tradition with generation-spanning Indian craftsmanship.

The new collection, available to shop now, sees iconic pieces from Tod’s—like the Di bag, the T Timeless sabot, and the Gommino driving shoes—embroidered with meticulous floral motifs stitched by Kaarigar artisans. In addition to florals and other traditional symbols of nature, the pieces will be woven with images the Tree of Life, which is a mainstay of Rahul Mishra’s designs. The accessories will be decorated with sequins and beads as well.

Mishra was the first Indian designer ever to show at Paris Haute Couture Week, and this collaboration between his eponymous label and Tod’s demonstrates a beautiful union of sartorial traditions and a celebration of fine craftsmanship.

Martine Rose and Supreme Made a Streetwear Collection for the Cool Kids

Fashion nerds understand the excitement over a Supreme × Martine Rose collab, with two of the biggest names in menswear coming together to create a collection of hoodies, denim, jerseys, and more that blend the two brands’ highly sought-after level of cool.

Combining the London music-scene influences of Martine Rose and the New York City skate-culture aesthetics of Supreme, the collection (which you can still shop here) offers raceway-inspired jackets and scarves, croc-embossed loafers, printed tops, and denim, as well as artful tees and knitwear. However, streetwear fans have been racing to grab up all the pieces, so if you want something, you’ll have to act fast.

Supreme and Martine Rose also developed a 44-page zine that charts the making of the collection, and all the profits are being donated to the St. Giles Trust, a U.K. charity that helps people affected by homelessness, substance abuse, and violence. Purchase the book here.

Cara Delevingne Is the New Très Belle Global Ambassador for L’Oréal Paris

As if she weren’t already busy with acting, modeling, and being one of the new faces of Miu Miu, Cara Delevingne just added another gig to her plate: It was just announced that she has become the global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris.

“I am so excited to join the L’Oréal Paris family and the sisterhood that has been created by so many inspiring women before me,” Delevingne said in a statement. “Beauty is a form of self-expression and self-empowerment, and I am so thrilled to partner with L’Oréal in their mission to inspire all people to reach their potential and to feel confident.”

In her first campaign as global ambassador, the model sports a sharp black blazer and rocked the brand’s 185 Prosperous Red shade (while speaking French, of course).
