Apple is expected to launch its iPhone 16 series that might include iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro Max later this year. Here are the top upgrades that you can expect from iPhone 16 Pro.

Apple iPhone 16 Pro: Thinner bezels, thermal design

The iPhone 16 Pro is rumoured to have the thinnest bezels ever seen on an iPhone (1.2mm), just like the Samsung Galaxy S24 to create a near all-screen look. This time around, the Pro models are expected to come in new thermal design for better heat dissipation.

Apple iPhone 16 Pro:  Bigger display

Apple iPhone 16 Pro is expected to be available in 6.3-inch display, up from 6.1-inch while the Pro Max variant might come in 6.9-inch, up from 6.7-inch size options. Notably, if this is true, this will be the first time that the company will launch an iPhone in 6.9-inch display size. The display might be 20 per cent brighter than the iPhone 15 Pro, reaching a peak brightness of 1200 nits for better outdoor visibility.

Apple iPhone 16 Pro:  New Chipset

Apple iPhone 16 Pro is likely to be powered by Bionic A18 chipset that will offer improved speed and graphics performance. The Pro Max model is also expected to be powered by the same chipset

Apple iPhone 16 Pro: Improved camera

The ultra-wide cameras on iPhone 16 Pro are rumoured to get a megapixel boost to 48 megapixels, enhancing low-light performance and overall image quality. The current iPhone 15 Pro camera includes 48MP primary sensor, 12 MP ultra-wide lens and 12MP telephoto lens.

Apple iPhone 16 Pro: More colour options

The iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to be available in black, white, silver, grey and “Natural Titanium” along with a new “Rose Gold” colour variant. The Blue colour option is expected to be discontinued in the upcoming Pro model lineup.

Apple iPhone 16 Pro:  AI boost

With the new iOS 18 update, iPhone 16 Pro is expected to come with revamped and smarter Siri. The camera is also expected to get a major AI boost with real-time object and scene recognition. It is also likely to come with more intuitive interface with customisable notifications, shortcuts and more
