Suniel Shetty writes heartfelt note for his 'bachchas' Athiya and KL Rahul

New father-in-law, actor Suniel Shetty took to social media and penned a warm note for daughter Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul who tied the knot on Monday. Calling them both his kids, Suniel posted a photo from their wedding. His post comes only a day after the private ceremony took place at his farmhouse in Khandala. Suniel wrote in the post, “A hand to hold and a reason to believe because sometimes the right place is a person and the ingredients love and trust … congratulations and Godbless my bachchas.” He tagged the newlyweds as well.

Right after Suniel's post went live, Athiya Shetty rushed to the comment section and replied, “Love you,” with a heart emoji. Following this, several celebrities dropped congratulatory comments for the Shetty family.

Former co-star Shilpa Shetty responded to Suniel's post, “Many many congratulations to you and Mana. Wishing Athiya and Rahul happiness always” “Wishing the beautiful couple all the happiness in the world Congratulations,” added former actor Sameera Reddy. While actor Rahul Dev said, “Biggg Congratulations dear Anna ... exemplary father, person and friend ... you deserve the best of happiness ... wish both the Kidoos Biggg Love and Abundance", model Sangeeta Bijlani too congratulated them.

Athiya, actor, and KL Rahul, cricketer, got married after dating for quite a few years. On Monday, after Suniel confirmed their pheras outside the wedding venues, the bride and groom announced their wedding on Instagram. They wrote in a joint post, “In your light, I learn how to love…Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness.”

At the wedding, Athiya stunned in a hand-embroidered pastel pink blouse and lehenga from the shelves of designer Anamika Khanna. She paired it with heavy polki embellished jewellery. Rahul, on the other hand, was seen in a cream sherwani.

Meanwhile, Athiya and Rahul are going to take a gap before hosting their grand reception, which is likely to take place in Mumbai. Suniel told the paparazzi that the bash will be held after Indian Premier League 2023. For the unversed, it is slated to begin on April 1 and till June 4.
