What is the highest run chase at the Gabba?
India opting to bowl first means it will have to chase down a total in the fourth innings. But the side will take heart from the fact that it has the highest successful chase at the Brisbane Cricket Ground. India shot down 328 when it played here the last time with Rishabh Pant playing the match-winning essay to seal a 2-1 series win for his side.

Australia win/loss record at the Gabba (since 2000)

Fortress Gabba no longer?
Australia held a dominant record at the Brisbane Cricket Ground, having won or drawn every match at the venue since 2000. However, it has lost twice at the ground since 2021, including a loss against India last time, which would bolster India’s confidence ahead of the big clash.

Time for the 3rd Test!
All square at 1-1 and we are off in Brisbane for the third round of this no-holds-barred jousting between India and Australia. India mauled the host in the opener by 295 runs before Australia riposted with a 10-wicket thumping in Adelaide. The stakes are high and neither team would want to let the other gain an inch in this five-match series. But the fate of this contest in Brisbane could well define how the series unfolds in the coming day.
