In the first session of Day 4 of the India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test, Team India's sharp fielding and Mominul Haque's gritty century took centre stage at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. India captain Rohit Sharma and pacer Mohammed Siraj led the fielding efforts, helping their team claim six Bangladeshi wickets, while Mominul Haque showcased how to bat on a surface that had been under covers for over two days.

Indian bowlers Akash Deep and Jasprit Bumrah were on target, consistently hitting good lengths. Their disciplined bowling kept Bangladesh under pressure, and a crucial breakthrough came when Mushfiqur Rahim misjudged an inswinger from Bumrah, leaving the ball and losing his wicket.

Mominul Haque, however, stood firm, carefully leaving or blocking the good deliveries and making the most of the loose ones. He reached his fifty in 110 balls and continued to anchor the innings.

Litton Das, who joined Haque after Rahim’s dismissal, started cautiously but attempted to break free in the 50th over. He stepped down the track and aimed for a big shot over mid-off, but Rohit Sharma pulled off a brilliant one-handed catch, sending Litton back to the pavilion. Siraj picked up his fifth wicket for India.
