Bayern Munich yet again saw an early conclusion to their DFB-Pokal campaign. A trophy they have not won since the 2019-2020 season.

After going trophyless in what seems like an eternity, Bayern Munich are down to just the Bundesliga and Champions League for possible trophies this season. Losing the Bundesliga last season and now the DFB-Pokal struggles are starting to add some serious pressure to the club.

Manuel Neuer’s early red card made life more difficult than necessary against Die Werkself. Going down to 10 men can be a challenge against any club, let alone Xabi Alonso’s side. Still, what an effort Bayern Munich put forth while down a man for so long. Clearly, something Vincent Kompany practiced with the team.

Since returning from almost a year injured in his early career, Wirtz has wasted no match without making his mark. The 21-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best talents of this generation and is proven to excel alongside Bayern’s Jamal Musiala. Outside of Musiala and Kane, the rest of the Bayern attack is simply not doing enough at the moment. If Bayern can only make one signing for the next three years, it should be him.

As just stated, the attack is simply not doing enough. Without Musiala and Kane, fans can only imagine where Bayern Munich would be at the moment. It seems as though only a handful of players are Bayern quality at the moment.
