Who Is Benny Blanco, the Producer Selena Gomez Is Dating?
Selena Gomez just confirmed that she's in a new relationship in the most Selena Gomez way possible.
On December 7, the “Single Soon” singer slyly announced that her relationship status is no longer set to ‘single’ through a string of sneaky social media behaviors.
When celebrity news Instagram account @popfactions shared a post claiming, “Selena Gomez Is Rumored To Be Dating Producer Benny Blanco,” Gomez acknowledged the rumor by liking the post. In a follow-up post, @popfactions stated, “Selena Gomez Seemingly Confirms That She Is In A Relationship.” To that, Gomez took it a step further by simply commenting, “Facts.”
She then officially affirmed the romance by posting a black-and-white selfie of herself laying on Blanco's chest to her Instagram Story.
This isn't the first time that the pop star hinted at her love life on social media. After a separate Instagram fan account shared a clip from her HBO cooking show, Selena + Chef, in which she said she had a crush on someone, Gomez commented on the post with a winky face emoji.
Ahead, we break down everything to know about Blanco.

Blanco's impressive resumé boasts A-listers like Rihanna, Britney Spears, SZA, Katy Perry, Keith Urban, and Ed Sheeran. He got his start in the industry after being recruited and mentored by Dr. Luke, who signed Blanco onto his company Kasz Money Productions.
Some of his songwriting credits include Rihanna's “Diamonds,” Lizzo's “Grrrls,” SZA's “Nobody Gets Me.”
Of his untraditional music skills, Blanco told the New York Times, “I couldn’t sit down and play a concert for you or really wow you on any instrument. ... What I can do is meet an artist, know what type of song I think we should make and be their therapist, make everyone feel comfortable.”
He previously worked on Selena's music.Blanco is credited as a producer on Gomez's 2019 track, “I Can't Get Enough,” signaling that his and Gomez's romance likely developed from an existing professional relationship.
He has released music as a solo artist. His debut album, Friends Keep Secrets, dropped in December 2018 to modest success, with the project peaking at the 41st place on Billboard 200 chart. Blanco collaborated with various artists for the album, including Halsey, Calvin Harris, Gracie Abrams, Omar Apollo, and Gomez's ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.
He's about to publish a cookbook.Blanco opened up about Open Wide, his debut cookbook, in a lengthy Instagram post last November.
“When I was 13 my friend got a George Foreman grill and it changed my life forever. we would invite friends over, get high and make the most elaborate sandwiches our prepubescent minds could fathom,” he wrote. “I know what you are going to say… cooking is scary. You don’t know where to begin. It can be overwhelming. And cooking for a group of people, fuck that.. but i'm telling u, once you get into it, it’ll be ur new addiction, it’s like meditating. Slicing an onion is like taking a Xanax to me.”
Open Wide will officially release in April 2024.
