In a recent promo video shared on social media, Sethupathi looks sharp in a silver suit and sports a clean-shaven look as he introduces himself as the new face of the popular reality show.

In the video, Sethupathi confidently addresses the audience, saying, “I understand your expectations. Now the stage is ready, the contestants are ready, and your new host is also ready.” The promo teases an exciting season ahead, with Sethupathi bringing his own unique style and energy to the show.

The promo was captioned on Instagram, "In a new angle... With a new strategy... #GrandLaunch of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 - Today evening at 6 in our Vijay TV."* This season promises to be filled with fresh twists and high expectations as fans eagerly await the grand launch.

Previously, Kamal Haasan was the host of Bigg Boss, and he successfully anchored the show for seven seasons. In August 2024, Kamal Haasan shared a statement explaining that he had taken a break from the show due to 'prior cinematic commitments'.

The show will be streamed live on the OTT platform and an one-hour episode will also be available for viewers.

According to reports, nearly 16 contestants will enter the Bigg Boss house on October 6. Later, three-four wild-card contestants will join the rest during the show.
