Brazil predicted lineup vs Uruguay: Copa America 2024
Brazil could book their place in the Copa America semi-finals with a win over Uruguay this weekend at Allegiant Stadium.
A few days after taking on one CONMEBOL giant in Colombia, Dorival Junior's side now gear up to take on 15-time Copa America winners Uruguay with a place in the last four of the tournament on the line.
Brazil have yet to really put it all together in Copa America but they'll look to change that narrative against their southern neighbors. With Vinicius Jr. suspended due to yellow card accumulation, Dorival Junior could look to bring in Manchester City's newest signing Savio to help out the attack.
Here's how the Selecao could take the pitch vs Uruguay Saturday night.
GK: Alisson - The Liverpool shot-stopper faces a tough task in keeping a clean sheet vs the talented Uruguay frontline.
RB: Danilo - The center-back turned full-back wears the captain's armband once more and hopes to lead his side to a semi-final spot.
CB: Eder Militao - Militao hasn't really put a foot wrong so far and will need to continue to do so to give Brazil a shot at taking down Uruguay.
CB: Marquinhos - The PSG icon has enjoyed a solid tournament in the heart of defense for Brazil but will be tested against the likes of Darwin Nunez and Facundo Pellistri.
LB: Wendell - The 30-year-old will have be to on his game to shut down any potential attacks from Pellistri and de la Cruz.
DM: Bruno Guimaraes - Guimaraes is key to Brazil's success as he holds down the fort in front of the backline.
DM: Joao Gomes - The Wolverhampton Wanderers player partners Guimaraes as a defensive midfielder.
RM: Raphinha - Raphinha has been one of Brazil's best performers at the competition and will look to find the back of the net against Uruguay.
AM: Lucas Paqueta - He'll be eager to get things going early and setup his teammates for scoring opportunities in the final third.
LM: Savio - With Vinicius Jr. watching from the outside, Savio has the opportunity to show his quality against a stout Uruguay defense.
ST: Rodrygo - The versatile forward leads the line in hopes of bagging a couple of goals to propel Brazil to victory.
