Ayesha, wife of Telugu choreographer Shaik Jani Basha, popularly known as Jani Master, opened up on the sexual abuse allegations against her husband. In an interview recently, she denied all the claims and maintained that her husband has not assaulted any woman in his entire career. The woman also said she would leave her marriage if the complainant provides evidence against Master.

Ayesha was speaking to the TV9 news channel when she questioned the survivor's decision to lodge a rape case against Jani Master after six years. She said her husband is not a bad man and the allegations have no truth to them. Ayesha said, "The allegation that the woman was harassed when she was 16 is disgusting. There is no truth in it. If the girl can show evidence, I will leave Master."

She added, "I have been married to Master for the last 14 years, and we have no children. I know him very well. His nature is not what is being alleged."

Jani Master's wife further asked about the woman allegedly thanking the choreographer for building her career. Ayesha asked why the complainant allegedly said she was grateful to Master when she felt abused by him. "The complainant said in many TV interviews that she owes her career to Master and is grateful to him. How is it that she has never complained before? And how is it that after being on her own for the last one year, she suddenly surfaces to lodge a complaint against him?" she asked.

Jani Master, a National Award-winning choreographer, was arrested by Cyeberabad's Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the rape case on Thursday, September 19, in Goa. He was taken to Hyderabad later. The woman, who is now 21, alleged in her written complaint to the police and the Telangana State Commission for Women, that the choreographer kept assaulting her for six years in various cities during their outdoor shoots.

The police added the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) clause to the FIR after identifying that he first abused the woman when she was still a minor, 16-year-old. The survivor was also provided with police protection by the commission after she submitted a 40-page document, narrating her ordeal.

Jani Master has not released any official statement on the matter yet.
