Microsoft is rolling out a new update for the Copilot app on Windows 11, the company announced. Available to testers who have registered with the Windows Insider Program, the native app will replace Microsoft Edge’s progressive web app which was previously available.
Although Microsoft has called it a native version, it still appears to be a web view of Copilot.
The company also said that they had added several new features in the Copilot app including Copilot Vision and a preview of the AI-powered Recall feature.
Users will be able to access the AI assistant with keyboard shortcuts on Windows 11 and 11 PCs like clicking on Alt + Space for a quick view. They can go back to the main Copilot app via the icon on the top-left corner of the quick view window. The Copilot icon also appears in the system tray.
Besides, the separate Copilot key can also be an alternative in case users have it. The company has added that they will continue to explore new options for the keyboard shortcuts for the app.
Microsoft said the rollout will be done gradually for Windows Insiders and the updated app version will be 1.24112.123.0 and higher.
