Al-Nassr have announced manager Rudi Garcia has left the club by “mutual agreement” amid reports of a straining relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo.

A goalless draw against Al Feiha on Sunday saw Al-Nassr drop points to league leaders Al-Ittihad, with seven games to go in the season.

Garcia, who joined the club in June, has been replaced by Under-19 coach Dinko Jelicic.

“Al-Nassr can announce that head coach Rudi Garcia has left the club by mutual agreement,” read a club statement. “The board and everyone at Al-Nassr would like to thank Rudi and his staff for their dedicated work during the past eight months.”

In his final press conference as Al-Nassr head coach, Garcia made his feelings clear about their 0-0 draw with Al Feiha.

“I don't feel satisfied with [their] performance,” he said.

Garcia added: “I asked them to play at the same level as the last game [a 5-0 win over Al-Adalah], but this didn't happen.”

As for Ronaldo, the Portugal international has scored 11 times since joining Al-Nassr in January, but has appeared frustrated at times.

He kicked a water bottle when his side were beaten 1-0 by rivals Al-Itthad in March and was also taunted by cheers of “Messi, Messi” during the match.

Al-Nassr travel to Al-Hilal on Tuesday as they look to make inroads into their three-point deficit in the league, before taking on Al-Wehda in the King Cup of Champions semi-finals on April 24.
