The teenager has kept her involvement in the project completely under wraps and, even, denied speculation that she may make a cameo in the Deadpool & Wolverine.

'Of course it’s sad. I love Hugh and creatively, I love Ryan [Reynolds] and I love Shawn [Levy],' she told On Demand Entertainment. 'I’m really excited to see what they’ve made. I think Shawn is one of the best directors out there right now.'

Dafne proceeded to call Ryan Reynolds, who has been playing Deadpool since 2016, 'a legend' and said it 'would have been amazing to be part of' the film.

'I'll just go watch it as a fan, to see my old buddy in it,' she said, referring to Hugh.

After the new trailer was released, Dafne admitted that she 'immediately screamed' when her agent revealed she was asked to return as X-23 in the upcoming flick.

'I dropped my phone in the bath. I had to put it in rice; it was a whole thing. I was a bit freaked out,' she told Entertainment Weekly. 'I was like, "I will have forgotten how to play her. She’s not in me anymore."'

To her surprise, once cameras started rolling, she felt like they 'were back doing Logan.'

'It was like eight years hadn't passed,' the actress raved.

In the trailer released last month she can seen briefly speaking to Hugh, who tells her: 'Whoever you think I am, you've got the wrong guy.'

'You were always the wrong guy, till you weren't,' she reminds him.

Blake appeared on Lorraine on Friday as part of her press tour for It Ends With Us and spoke about about how she interprets the story.

The actress plays florist Lily Bloom in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel by the same name.

'I never really looked at it as a story about darkness or hope necessarily,' Blake said.

'I look at it as a women's story and in life we have joy and we have pain and we have levity and we have trauma and we have sadness and possibility and future, past and present. I think because of that, the story resonates with so many people.'

It Ends With Us centres on Lily, a flower shop owner who finds herself in the middle of a complicated love triangle between hunky neurosurgeon Ryle - Justin Baldoni, who also directs - and her high school sweetheart, Atlas, played with hangdog cuteness by Brandon Sklenar.

But when Ryle's violent outburst leads her to fear he may be an abusive partner, she turns to Atlas for help after they reconnect when she runs into him at a restaurant he works at.

The film is based on the best-selling romance novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover, which was a hit with readers after it was published in 2016.

After being pushed back multiple times, the film's release date is August 9.
