Big Holiday Weekend Events List: December 1st – 3rd & Beyond ...
The holiday season has officially begun. With so many events coming up over the next few weeks, we put together this compendium of different gatherings happening within our broadcast area. This compendium of upcoming Christmas events is not a complete list, and those who have more information on events should e-mail us at [email protected].
West Plains: In West Plains, the tree-lighting ceremony will begin at 6pm, and the yearly Christmas Parade will start on December 9th at 4 p.m.
The Holiday Season Arts and Crafts Show & Sale will take place this Saturday and Sunday at the West Plains Civic Center. Admission for this event is $3 per adult.
Cookies with the Claus’ will be hosted by the Boys & Girls Club at the West Plains Civic Center on December 9th. It will begin at 8:30 a.m.
The Deck the Halls Art Exhibit is currently available for viewing at the West Plains Civic Center.
The annual Good Old Country Christmas Concert benefiting Toys for Tots will be taking place tomorrow and Saturday, December 1st and 2nd, at the Bridge Church at 105 South Highway 63, West Plains. Start time is 6:30 p.m., and admission is one unwrapped toy for a child.
The First United Methodist Church in West Plains will be hosting a dinner theater event featuring Christmas in Cricket County December 1st and 2nd at 6pm. Admission is $15 per adult, and $10 for children 10 and under. Visit www.fumcwestplains.com/cricket-county to reserve your seats.

Willow Springs: The Willow Springs Chamber recently put together a collection of their Christmas activities, and you can view that image posted below.

Mountain View: The Mountain View Christmas Parade will take place later in the month than the rest and will happen on December 16th.
Mountain Grove: The Mountain Grove Winterfest event will be happening this Saturday, December 2nd. The parade will begin at 6 p.m.
Cabool: Cabool will be hosting Christmas on Main this Saturday, and the parade will happen tomorrow, December 1st.
Eminence: Christmas in Eminence will also be this Saturday, December 2nd, and will feature a full list of festival activities. The parade will happen at 6 p.m.
Houston: The Houston Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 9th.
Thayer/Mammoth Spring: The Thayer and Mammoth Spring Parades will be happening on December 9th. For Thayer this will be 2pm, for Mammoth Spring, it will be 6pm.
Mountain Home: The Mountain Home-Town Christmas Festival will happen tomorrow, December 1st, from 4–8 p.m. at the Downtown Square. Tree-lighting will take place at 5:40 p.m. and the parade at 6 p.m.
Gainesville: Wonders of Christmas will happen tomorrow, December 1st, at 5 p.m. The parade is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Salem, AR.: Breakfast with Santa and his Elf will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2nd from 7am to 11am at the Salem Senior Citizen Center located on W. Church Street in Salem, Arkansas.
