Demon Slayer has concluded its Swordsmith Village arc which ran through the entirety of season 3. The 11 episode season saw our hero, Tanjiro Kamado, travel to the village to fix the sword that was damaged in the battle against Daki and Gyutaro in season 2.

While there, he runs into the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, and his fellow demon slayer Genya Shinazugawa who later become his allies in the fight against Muzan’s Upper Rank 4 and 5 demons–Hantengu and Gyokko–who are terrorizing the village.

The season 3 finale saw Tanjiro defeating Hantengu with his newly forged sword in what was nearly a heartbreaking move as he was under the impression that Nezuko had sacrificed herself in order to give him the opportunity to save innocent lives. Thankfully, she didn’t lose her life and instead gained the newfound ability to be unharmed by sunlight.

The end of the season has us clamoring for season 4. Here’s everything we know!

Demon Slayer season 4 release updates

While fans of the anime can anticipate a fourth season, when it’ll premiere is still unknown. At the earliest, the new season will debut in 2024. Our sister site Bam Smack Pow reports that it’ll likely have a spring premiere date, whether that’s in 2024 or in 2025 has yet to be announced. We’ll keep you posted.

Will Zenitsu be in Demon Slayer season 4?

Zenitsu only made brief appearances in season 3 which has left viewers wondering if he’ll have a more significant role in the coming season. While we don’t have details on how much Zenitsu will be featured in this next arc, we can say that he’ll have a more prominent role than in the third season.

Will Inosuke be in Demon Slayer season 4?

Like Zenitsu, Inosuke will be more heavily featured in the fourth season. If you’re a fan of the boar head wearing slayer, you won’t be going nearly a whole season without seeing him be involved in the plot.

What is Demon Slayer season 4 about?

The next season will be the Hashira Training Arc. In this plot, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke will be trained by the Hashira to improve their skills in battle and their breathing techniques. All three slayers are on track to become Hashira themselves one day as Tanjiro has been the victor in two encounters with Upper Rank demons and Zenitsu and Inosuke came out victorious in one interaction.

The official synopsis for arc in the manga via the Kimetsu no Yaiba wiki:

Tanjiro goes to see the Stone Hashira, Himejima, who intends to prepare him for the battles to come. The training to become a Hashira—a high-ranking member of the Demon Slayer Corps—is intense and demanding. Earning Himejima’s approval seems impossible, but Tanjiro won’t give up! Meanwhile, the demon lord Muzan continues to search for the location of Nezuko and Ubuyashiki.

Will Nezuko be in Demon Slayer season 4?

While the focus of the next arc is Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke training with the Hashira, Nezuko will have a presence in season 4. In the season 3 finale, it was revealed that she’s the lone demon who can exist in the sunlight. Also, she’s begun to speak again. That’s likely to be explored in some capacity next season. And, as the synopsis states, Muzan will be on the hunt for her due to her new ability.

Where to stream Demon Slayer season 4

Presumably, like previous seasons, you’ll be able to stream the Hashira Training Arc on Crunchyroll once it makes its premiere.

When will Demon Slayer season 4 come to Netflix?

Without a release date, it’s hard to know when the fourth season will come to the streamer. Typically, it can take up to a year (or even longer) after a new season of Demon Slayer has finished airing in Japan and streaming on Crunchyroll for it to make its Netflix debut. So subscribers to this platform could see the fourth season land in 2025 or 2026 at the latest.

When will Demon Slayer season 4 come to Hulu?

Again, we don’t have a release date. However, Hulu subscribers will likely see the fourth season far earlier than those subscribed to Netflix. The platform typically releases new Demon Slayer seasons a few months after they begin airing in Japan and streaming on Crunchyroll. So Hulu will likely have season 4 available in the same year that it premieres.

Is Demon Slayer season 4 the last season of the anime?

It hasn’t been announced to be the last season. There are two more arcs left in Demon Slayer to be adapted, the Infinity Castle arc and the Sunrise Countdown arc.
