Report: England ELS 3-0 Czechia
The Young Lions ended their October camp with a comfortable victory in Doncaster
England men’s Elite League Squad eased to a 3-0 victory over Czechia in the EURO Elite League in Doncaster on Monday evening.
Max Dean scored a brace for the Young Lions and Kaide Gordon added a third to seal three points for Paul Nevin’s side at the Eco-Power Stadium.
Dean was involved in the action from the off, hitting the bar inside the first minute of the game.
And the striker had the opportunity to open the scoring again towards the end of the opening period but missed a penalty that Ben Chrisene had won after being fouled in the box.
The K.A.A Gent forward did eventually break the deadlock, though, putting his side ahead at the break with a curling effort.
Dean added to his tally 13 minutes into the second half, curling in an excellent first-time finish after receiving the ball on the edge of the box to put England 2-0 up.
Gordon was on the scoresheet nine minutes later, Dean this time playing provider for the Norwich attacker who found the bottom corner.
Will Lankshear went close off the bench but there was never much of a threat at the other end as the Young Lions cruised home in front of 2,670 supporters.
