SESSION SUMMARY- 64 runs, 27 overs, 3 wickets. The wicket of Steve Smith, just a couple of minutes before the lunch break has tilted the session in England’s favour this morning. Australia started the day with Warner and Khawaja at the crease. England bowled tight lines to them and gave nothing away. Warner was induced into playing a poor shot and chopped a wide delivery onto his stumps to give England their first breakthrough. Marnus Labuschagne was gone soon after for a golden duck as the hosts were all over the Aussies. Smith joined Khawaja in the middle and the duo batted sensibly as they added 38 for the 3rd wicket. Khawaja was the aggressor among the duo as the southpaw got some crisp boundaries away. Smith looked solid at the crease before England skipper Ben Stokes trapped him in front and picked up a huge wicket for his side. England will be the happier side going into the break.
