Fire services have rushed to the McLaren hospitality centre ahead of third practice at the Spanish Grand Prix, following what appears to be an inside fire.

RacingNews365 were on the scene to witness several fire vehicles and fire servicemen arrive quickly just 30 minutes ahead of the final practice session.

According to RacingNews365's Aaron Deckers, the situation appears to now be "under control", although an additional fire truck has arrived on the scene.

With so many firemen dealing with the situation, it is yet to be confirmed whether FP3 will begin on time or will be delayed.

Sky Sports F1 reported that the fire started between the floor panels, and appears to be an electrical fire.

An initial concern for Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris was that their suits and helmet were inside the building where the fire started, although both seem to have spares elsewhere as the McLaren garage remains calm.

McLaren released a statement which read: "This morning we evacuated our Team Hub paddock hospitality unit following a fire alert, the team has been safely evacuated while the local fire brigade handle the issue."
