Missing actor Gurucharan Singh, famous for his role in 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', has been in Delhi and never took a flight to Mumbai, investigations have suggested. He was soon to get married.

Gurucharan Singh, who has been missing since April 22, never took a flight to Mumbai, investigations have revealed. As the probe progressed, it was also revealed the 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' fame actor was soon to get married and was struggling with financial difficulties.

He left his home for the airport in Delhi, but never took the route, probe suggested.

According to the Delhi Police, CCTV videos in several areas of the national capital captured Singh, who played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular TV show, roaming on the streets with a backpack.

Police also said Singh had withdrawn nearly Rs 7,000 from an ATM in Delhi, which was confirmed by a CCTV footage.

As per Singh's mobile details, he had been present in Delhi until April 24, after which his mobile phone had been switched off.

On the said date, Singh was last traced near his house in Palam.

On Saturday, CCTV footage showing Singh at Parshuram Chowk in the Palam area of Delhi had surfaced. The footage was captured on April 22, at 9.14 pm.

Singh's father had filed a missing complaint on April 26. Later, an FIR was lodged under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

His family said the actor was supposed to catch a flight to Mumbai from Delhi at 8.30 am on April 22.
