India vs South Africa Live Score, 2nd T20:  Suryakumar Yadav scored a half century off just 29 balls before departing for 56 runs in the second T20I at Gqeberha on Tuesday. India were 125/4 after Surya’s departure.

It was Yadav and Tilak Varma who had stabilised India after the visitors lost the wickets of openers Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal in the first two overs itself. India were 6/2 at one stage of the match after South Africa had won the toss and asked India to bat first. But Yadav and Varma came out all guns blazing to get India to 53 for 2 after five overs.

The first of the three T20Is was washed out in Durban on Sunday. There was a chance of the second T20I at St George’s Park in Gqeberha also being interrupted by rain, but the match started as scheduled after some initial concerns.

India surprisingly chose to leave out Shreyas Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi from the side, while Ruturaj Gaikwad also missed out due to illness. India and South Africa will also lock horns in three ODIs and two Tests.

Led by Suryakumar Yadav, India come into the T20I bilateral having closed a 4-1 win against Australia in the five-T20I series at home earlier this month. South Africa on the other hand are being led by Aiden Markram, who was appointed the full-time T20I captain earlier this year.

Just 16 months into his international career, Arshdeep Singh has weathered numerous storms. He did not sleep the night he spilled the catch that turned out to be game-defining, but every time he has been ridiculed or mocked, he has demonstrated an incredible gift to fight back, to survive and prosper. (Read more)
