The West Indies Women's bowling unit had a tough day in the office, struggling to contain the batting unit of India Women. The bowlers were wayward, leaking runs all over the park, and failed to exert any significant pressure on the Indian batting line-up. Karishma Ramharack was one of the few bright spots, managing to pick up two wickets, while Deandra Dottin chipped in with one scalp. Unfortunately, the rest of the bowling attack failed to make any meaningful impact, and the fielding was also a letdown, with a few misfields and dropped catches.

Hayley Matthews might be ruing her decision to put India Women in to bat first after winning the toss! India Women have come out all guns blazing, taking full advantage of the Power Play to score a blistering 50 runs. The opening duo of Smriti Mandhana and Uma Chetry set the tone, but it was the second-wicket partnership between Jemimah Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana that really took the game away from the West Indies. The pair added a scintillating 81 runs in just 44 balls, with Jemimah Rodrigues being the aggressor. Rodrigues went on to score a magnificent 73 runs before finally getting dismissed in the final over. Smriti Mandhana also brought up a well-deserved half-century, helping India Women post a formidable total. The West Indies will now have to regroup and come up with a solid plan to chase down this imposing target.
