The winner will also win the three-match series which is level at one-all. The hosts kicked off the series on a positive note with a comprehensive 49-run win.

Batting first, India reached a solid total of 195 at the loss of four wickets. Jemimah Rodrigues emerged as the highest scorer for India – 73 runs off 35 balls. Her prolific innings comprised nine fours and two sixes. Karishma Ramharack picked up two wickets for West Indies.

Deandra Dottin did score a half century during the run chase but her 52-run knock went in vain as West Indies managed 146/7.

Titas Sadhu bagged three wickets to earn a resounding victory for India. Deepti Sharma and Radha Yadav also contributed significantly having scalped two wickets each for India.

The visitors scripted a prompt comeback in the next T20I to keep themselves alive in the three-match series.

India posted 159 at the loss of nine wickets in the second match. Skipper Smriti Mandhana led from the front and came up with a brilliant innings of 62 off 41 balls. For West Indies, Chinelle Henry, Deandra Dottin, Hayley Matthews and Afy Fletcher picked up two wickets each.

West Indies, during the run chase, did not face much trouble and scored the winning runs with 26 balls to spare. West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews produced a vital innings of unbeaten 85 to guide her side to a nine-wicket win.
