On 19 November at 7.00 UTC, a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall occurred in Purworejo regency, in southern Central Java province, in central Indonesia, resulting in casualties and damage.
As of 20 November, the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) reports three fatalities, one missing person and several evacuated people in Peniron hamlet, Plipiran village, in Bruno District of the Purworejo regency.
Search and rescue operations are still ongoing.
On 20 and 21 November, more heavy rainfall is expected over central and western Java Island.
