The ongoing divorce between Tamil actor Jayam Ravi and his wife of 15 years, Aarti, has escalated into a public spectacle, with both parties making strong claims against each other. The separation, initially announced by Jayam Ravi as a mutual decision, has taken a bitter turn with disagreements over property, social media accounts, and personal allegations.

Jayam Ravi Approaches Police for Property Recovery

Recently, as per reports, Jayam Ravi approached the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Adyar, seeking assistance to recover his personal belongings, including his car, which he claims are being withheld by Aarti. According to reports, the actor alleged that Aarti barred him from entering their shared residence on East Coast Road, Chennai, preventing him from retrieving his property.

Aarti, however, denied these accusations. When questioned by the police, she stated that Jayam Ravi had voluntarily chosen not to return home. In response, the police urged both parties to resolve their disputes amicably.

Instagram Account Dispute

In another twist, Jayam Ravi had previously faced difficulties regaining control of his Instagram account, which Aarti had been managing. After she refused to hand over the account credentials, the actor reached out to Meta (formerly Facebook) to reclaim access. Once he regained control, he immediately deleted all pictures of Aarti from the account and posted a new image from the audio launch of his upcoming film Brother, captioning it "The new me." This post, signaling a fresh chapter in his life, sparked mixed reactions from fans.

Aarti's Claims and Public Allegations

Aarti has maintained that the divorce announcement was made without her consent, disputing Jayam Ravi’s claim that their separation was mutual. This rift has only widened with rumors swirling about the involvement of singer Kenishaa Francis, who has been accused by some of instigating the split. Jayam Ravi, however, strongly denied any romantic involvement, stating that they were only collaborating on opening a spiritual center together and that he had documentation to back up his claims.

In addition to the property dispute, Jayam Ravi has made it clear that he will fight for custody of the couple’s two sons, Aarav and Ayaan. Speaking to the media, the actor expressed his determination to be a strong presence in his children’s lives despite the separation.

The actor has faced criticism from sections of the public over his decision to divorce, with some questioning his priorities, particularly in relation to his children. In a recent interview, Jayam Ravi defended himself, stating, "When people try to bring down the image that I have earned through hard work, I can only laugh. It’s not easy to tarnish my reputation."

He also addressed the widespread speculation surrounding his personal life, emphasizing that the issues between him and Aarti had not developed overnight, but had been brewing for a while.

Kenishaa Francis Denies Affair Rumours

Goa-based singer and spiritual healer Kenishaa Francis recently addressed rumours linking her to actor Jayam Ravi, dismissing them entirely. In an interview with DT Next, Francis clarified that she and Ravi were not romantically involved but that she was helping him as a client, stating he was "mentally and emotionally bruised" from his troubled marriage. She revealed that Ravi came to her for therapy after sending a mutual divorce notice to his estranged wife, Aarti.

Francis accused Aarti of domestic abuse and claimed she had been trying to damage Ravi’s reputation. She hinted at having evidence of the abuse from their therapy sessions and warned of legal action if defamed further. Ravi also spoke on the issue, defending Francis and highlighting her career as a singer and healer. He urged the media to keep her out of his divorce, stating that they planned to open a healing center together and these rumors could negatively impact their future initiatives.

Despite the personal turmoil, Jayam Ravi has continued with his professional commitments. His most recent release, Siren, directed by Anthony Bhagyaraj, received a mixed response at the box office. His upcoming film Brother is eagerly awaited by fans.
