Singer Kenishaa Francis on Tuesday addressed the criticism around her breaking the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with actor Jayam Ravi by speaking about his troubled marriage. Sharing a post on her Instagram stories, the singer wrote that her terms as a spiritual healer differ from the agreement that is usually signed by a psychologist.

Kenishaa posted a video of a Wasabi bowl and wrote alongside: "There's a difference between a psychologist and a spiritual healer. Their NDA terms also differ. Do me a favour - open google, wread up about it and then may it be a day of enlightenment. Also eat some wasabi’s today pweaseee (sic)."

Her statement comes days after she gave a lengthy interview to DT Next, revealing that Jayam Ravi was her client, and she had been helping him with his mental health. At one point in an interview, she also mentioned that she was bound under the agreement but felt it was important to share the details to end the rumours about her alleged affair with the actor.

Accusing Aarti and her family of torturing and abusing Ravi, Kenishaa also said, "No one deserves so much abuse, irrespective of the gender, and I can release all the evidence with or without Ravi's permission in the court of law, from my notes of our therapy sessions. Anything to do with his divorce has to be questioned by Ravi and Aarti and their leading families."

Aarti's new statement

On Monday, Ravi's estranged wife, Aarti, released a statement, mentioning that her 'silence' shouldn't be considered as a sign of her 'weakness or guilt'. "In light of ongoing public commentary surrounding my personal life, I find it important to emphasise that my silence is not a sign of weakness or guilt. I've chosen to stay dignified and not respond to those trying to portray me in a bad light to conceal the truth, but I trust the legal system to bring justice," she stated.

The statement came days after the Brother actor gave interviews in the media, accusing his wife of spreading lies about their marriage. Earlier last month, when Ravi announced his separation with Aarti, she shared a separate note, accusing him of not getting her consent before releasing the statement. Things turned messy later and several accusations were made by both sides.

Ravi has now reportedly got settled in Mumbai.
