Barcelona's Gavi sends message of support to Joao Felix after Euro ...

Barcelona midfielder Gavi has sent a message of support to Joao Felix after the Portugal international missed a penalty as his side exited Euro 2024 on Friday.

Portugal drew 0-0 with France after extra-time in Germany which meant a shoot-out was needed to find a winner.

Felix missed the decisive kick for Portugal which saw Les Bleus progress to a last-four tie with Spain.

Gavi was quick to show his support on social media. He posted a photo of the two players embracing in Barcelona colours with the caption: “Always with you brother.”

It’s been a tricky tournament for Felix with Portugal. The forward only featured against Georgia and France and didn’t manage to score for Roberto Martinez’s side.

He’s also facing an increasingly uncertain future at club level. He’s said he wants to stay at Barcelona but there’s no guarantee that will happen.
