Suriya in Kanguva.
The much-awaited teaser of Kanguva is here, and it lives up to all the hype created by the film’s producer K E Gnanavel Raja. Ever since the project went on floors, the producer has claimed that it will turn out to be a milestone in Indian cinema. The teaser justifies his claims as many of the visuals from the film look grand and unique.
Suriya and Bobby Deol play the heads of two warring tribes. Both the actors look menacing. The film features a lot of bloodshed and death, keeping up with the current trend.
Siva of Siruthai comes across as a different director with Kanguva, and it might turn out to be a watershed moment in his career. Here’s the promo:
The film, also starring Disha Patani, will be translated into more than 20 languages according to the producer, who assures it will work beyond Indian borders. With Kanguva, the makers are venturing into new territories, which wasn’t explored before by Tamil cinema.
Kanguva is poised to be a pivotal moment in Suriya’s career as it signals his return to solo lead roles on the silver screen. Suriya’s last solo theatrical release was Edharkum Thunindhavan in 2022. The film will serve as a litmus test for Suriya’s market, which has gone unchecked for the past two years.
Meanwhile, Suriya announced his upcoming film Puranaanuru, with Sudha Kongara, is getting delayed. It has to be seen if the actor will take up a new project in the meantime.
