Reportedly, the couple who died in the crash was along with their three children. They were traveling in a Toyota Estima Multi-purpose vehicle. They were the teachers at the Federal Religious Secondary School also known as SMAP. Their names were Arbain Baharudin and Rosmayati Bakar. Arbain was 47 years of age man while his wife Rosmayati was 48 years old. They died after sustaining fatal injuries in the crash. While their three children sustained the trauma. Their children are known as Faikal Nabila, 8, Fatin Najla, 10, and Farah Najwa, 20. They were injured in their legs, face, and hands.

Superintendent of Kemamam District Police, Hanyan Ramlan said, “Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, the Toyota Estima type vehicle they were riding in suddenly lost control and crashed on the left lane of the highway. The vehicle then spun around several times before stopping at the highway divider.
