Badminton Olympic bronze medallist Lee Zii Jia returns to the BWF World Tour this week following an injury layoff when he competes in the 2024 Kumamoto Masters Japan in Kumamoto, which runs from 12–17 November 2024.
Lee hasn't played on the circuit for a month since crashing out of the Arctic Open in October with an ankle injury sustained in the quarter-finals.
However, the Malaysian will look to mark his return emphatically in Kumamoto, with the later rounds of the tournament available to watch live on Olympic Channel via Olympics.com and the official Olympics app for mobile devices (territorial restrictions may apply).
The world number seven is the fifth seed in the tournament and has been drawn to face a qualifier, who could potentially be his fellow countryman Justin Hoh if Hoh can make it out of the two-round qualification draw.
Lee would then face Chinese Taipei's Su Li-Yang or another qualifier in the round of 16, with Indonesia's fourth seed Jonathan Christie a potential quarter-final opponent.
