It is hard to judge where the Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid transfer saga is going to go this summer. It looks like Paris Saint-Germain want him to leave in the ongoing window as the Frenchman’s contract runs out a year later. The Ligue 1 champions do not want to see him leave as a free agent in the future and miss out on a significant transfer fee as a result of it. Real Madrid are viewed as the World Cup winner’s most likely destination.
It is Mbappe who holds most of the cards in this situation though. He can choose to leave this summer or wait a year and leave as a free agent.
Of course, with PSG wanting him to leave, staying on would not be ideal under these circumstances. But the possibility has not been ruled out.
Real Madrid have been handed a major transfer boost amidst all this. As reported by Football Espana, according to Ramon Alvarez de Mon, those close to Mbappe are already looking at properties in the Spanish capital in anticipation of a move there.
Real Madrid handed major Mbappe transfer boostThis news will come as a boost to Real Madrid fans who are hoping to see Mbappe end up at Santiago Bernabeu. It is still not clear when that will happen.
It is a win-win situation for Real Madrid. If they sign him this summer, they will be signing the best player in the world for a significant but still bargain transfer fee. If they bring him in next summer as a free agent, it would be one of the best deals in football history straight off the bat.
Of course, nothing should be completely ruled out. Mbappe has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool in recent weeks as well.
