Placing ethnic Kyrgyz children under guardianship of their relatives living in Kyrgyzstan worked on: Foreign Ministry

AKIPRESS.COM - Work on the transfer of ethnic Kyrgyz children, whose parents were killed in Tajikistan, to their relatives living in Kyrgyzstan is underway, according to the Foreign Ministry.

Their further fate was raised by several members of the Kyrgyz parliament. Their parents died in Sughd Province of Tajikistan, where they resided. MPs requested bringing ethnic Kyrgyz children to Kyrgyzstan. 

According to the Foreign Ministry's data, three citizens of Tajikistan - ethnic Kyrgyz died on May 29 in the village of Sandjidzor, Kanibadam district. Three minor children were left without custody. 

The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan is in talks with relevant state bodies of Tajikistan regarding this issue. The Ministry said that together with the state bodies of Kyrgyzstan, they are working on the transfer of minor children to their Kyrgyzstani relatives' custody.
