Amorim plotting sale of four Man Utd players
Ruben Amorim is already preparing to put his stamp on the Manchester United squad by selling four senior players in January.
Now a report in the Express, which carries a story by transfer website TEAMtalk, suggests Amorim is ready to sell Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony and Victor Lindelof should he take the hot seat at Old Trafford.
“It seems Ruben Amorim won’t be wasting any time at Manchester United following reports he will immediately put four first-team players up for sale,” states the outlet.
“According to TEAMtalk, Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, Casemiro and Antony could all now be sold in January.”
The report adds: “Amorim’s preference for a 3-4-3 formation means change at United will be inevitable once he does take the reins.
“How much money he’s given to spend in January remains to be seen however, after the club splashed out more than £170 million on new players in the last transfer window.”
Gyokeres 'unhappy' with Amorim speculation
Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres has been left “unhappy” with reports Ruben Amorim will become Manchester United’s new manager.
That is according to a report in The Sun, which claims the Sweden international turned down the opportunity to leave the club in order to remain working with the 39-year-old manager.
“Ruben Amorim’s expected move to Manchester United has not gone down well with two Sporting CP stars, reports suggest,” reads the article.
“Tuesday night saw Amorim's Sporting side win 3-1 over Nacional in the Portuguese League Cup.
“But come Wednesday, not all was as it seemed with O Jogo reporting that star striker Viktor Gyokeres had been left unhappy with Amorim's upcoming exit.
“The Swede has become one of Europe's top strikers under Amorim, and scored in Tuesday's 3-1 win, but was ‘enticed’ to stay in Portugal to continue working with the ‘Special One 2.0’.
“However, both the 26-year-old and Danish star Morten Hjulmand have been left irritated by the Amorim news after turning down interest from elsewhere, including from Man Utd.”
Real sweating over Vinicius future
Real Madrid have been left sweating after Vinicius Junior reportedly turned down a new contract with Los Blancos.
The Brazil international has dominated headlines this week following Real’s decision to snub the Ballon d’Or ceremony, with Manchester City midfielder Rodri winning the main prize.
"Now, Vinicius has caused controversy yet again amid reports from Spain claiming he's turned down the opportunity to enter contract renewal talks”, reads a report in the Mail.
“According to Relevo, the Ballon d'Or runner-up thanked Madrid chiefs for their interest in renewing his deal and listened to the offer but ultimately did not sign it.”
