The legendary former Rossoneri coach highlighted both positive and negative aspects of the game: here are his words.

“Milan’s victory was far too easy. In the Rossoneri, I finally saw desire, determination, energy, and liveliness: they tried to head toward the goal quickly. Of course, they were helped by Venezia’s approach, but it was a positive signal that the fans, the atmosphere, the club, and the coach needed.”

On individual performances, Capello said:

"I particularly liked Fofana: he’s very important for Milan’s midfield and never let his guard down. Even at 4-0, he was still chasing the ball. I also think Abraham did well; he was proactive and always ready to help his teammates: the goal will do him good. And Leao was the same devastating player on the wing as always: he just needs a bit more consistency."

Capello concluded his analysis of Milan:

"There was only one thing I didn’t like: at the back, they allowed something, and this shouldn’t happen against such inferior opponents. Now, the bar is raised for Milan: Liverpool and Inter are much stronger opponents. The English have some issues, but if you leave them too much space in defense, they’ll punish you. They will need to be very careful."
