has finally confirmed that he is the father of model
Moon Ga Bi
’s eight-month-old son. Dispatch broke the news of the model's secret pregnancy and childbirth, following her absence in the film industry. Moon Ga Bi opened up about her journey into motherhood in an Instagram post on November 22. She wrote, "As a mother now, I’ve mustered the courage to seek a bit of ordinary happiness."
She revealed, "When the news came to me so suddenly, I was completely unprepared. Instead of fully celebrating the joy of pregnancy or receiving congratulations, I spent most of the pregnancy quietly, surrounded by my family’s blessings."
In her post, she also explained her decision to keep the pregnancy private to protect her child and provide him with a life filled with love and happiness, despite her initial fears. "I made that choice solely for the sake of my child. I felt that to protect something precious, I needed to keep it hidden. As an inexperienced, unprepared soon-to-be mom, I needed time to prepare myself. But honestly, it was the choice of a scared mother," she said.
According to Dispatch, Jung Woo Sung and Moon Ga Bi first met at a private gathering in 2022 and stayed in touch. The model became pregnant in June 2023. Following the child's birth, it was reported that the actor even conducted a
paternity test
to prove that the child was his. Following the test results which confirmed Jung Woo Sung as the father, he issued a statement, expressing his commitment to supporting the child. "I am currently debating the best approach to the child's upbringing, and as a father, I will do my best for the child." Reports allege that tensions between the two have been "far from amicable," according to Tenasia. The publication noted that while Jung Woo Sung agreed to cover child support and childbirth expenses, he declined to formalize their relationship by marrying the model. He also declined to take on a familial role beyond providing financial support.
