Saturday at the Gran Premio GoPro de Aragon delivered further drama, with Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) completing the perfect day – securing pole position and a maiden Sprint win. The #93 took the glory from Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing), who was unable to match Marquez’ pace. Meanwhile, Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) claimed a brilliant third, as Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) crossed the line in ninth – scoring just one point. Marc Marquez will start the Aragon GP from pole position, handing the #93 the perfect opportunity to take his first Grand Prix victory since 2021.

1. Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) has qualified on pole for the sixth time out of his 10 visits to the track in MotoGP™. This is his second pole so far this year along with Jerez and the 94th in his GP career. His pole position advantage of 0.840s is the biggest 1-2 gap in dry qualifying since Valencia 2011 (1.014 between Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa). He will now be aiming to win for the first time since Emilia-Romagna 2021 (1043 days ago). It would be his first Grand Prix win with Ducati and Gresini, and his sixth MotoGP™ win at this track.

2. After passing through Q1, rookie Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) qualified second, equalling his best qualifying result in MotoGP™ from Austin this year when he finished the Grand Prix race in second (his most recent podium). Aged 20 years and 99 days old on Sunday, he will aim to become the second-youngest premier class winner after Marc Marquez (20 years and 63 days old in Austin in 2013).

3. On pole in the last two GPs here, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) has qualified third which is the seventh time this year he qualified in the top three. He will be aiming to take his eighth GP win this year to make it his best MotoGP™ season regarding wins. He would become the first rider with eight (or more) wins in a MotoGP™ season since Marc Marquez in 2019 (12), and would join Marquez, Casey Stoner, Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo as the only riders to have won eight or more GP races in a single MotoGP™ season. He is now second in the standings, three points off Jorge Martin.

4. Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) has qualified fourth despite a crash in the early stages of Q2, making it only the fourth time so far this year he has missed out on the top three in qualifying. On Sunday, he will aim to take his eighth MotoGP™ win and third of the season. He is now leading the Championship with a three-point advantage over Bagnaia.

5. Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) has qualified fifth equalling his second-best qualifying so far this year from Sachsenring and Silverstone. He will now aim to add to his premier class podium collection (two with Honda and three with Ducati so far) or to take his maiden MotoGP™ GP win.

6. Via Q1, Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) has qualified seventh. He will now be aiming to stand on the podium for the second time so far this year along with Qatar (P2), or to win for the first time since Austria in 2021.

7. Johann Zarco (Castrol Honda LCR), who is the first Honda rider to go straight to Q2 so far this year, has qualified 10th for his best qualifying result since he joined Honda this year. He will be aiming to score his best result with Honda if he can beat his P12s taken in Qatar and in France.

8. Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) has qualified 11th, his worst qualifying since he was 12th in Jerez this year. He will now aim to stand on the GP podium for the first time since he won in Catalunya last year.

9. Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) has qualified 12th, equalling his worst qualifying result so far this year from Catalunya. He will be aiming to take his 11th MotoGP™ GP win, his second with Aprilia along with Austin this season.

10. Third in the Championship, Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) has qualified P14 for his worst qualifying result since he also qualified 14th in Valencia last year. Victory on Sunday would be his seventh MotoGP™ win to equal Martin and Loris Capirossi in fourth on the list of most successful Ducati riders in the class.
