The Clarets opened the scoring through Zeki Amdouni's brilliant finish in the first half before Callum Hudson-Odoi curled in a beauty on his Forest debut.
Things then got controversial as Lyle Foster saw a goal ruled out for a handball from substitute Sander Berge.
It went from bad to worse for Foster as he was sent off for hitting Ryan Yates off the ball, so in the end, it was a point a piece.

He said: “I haven’t seen it [Lyle Foster’s goal].
“From what I am told, it was a clear handball, but I am more disappointed with the defending in that moment.

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany has been speaking to Sky Sports about tonight’s result and some of the controversial incidents.
And when asked about Lyle Foster’s red card, he said: “When you see the gesture on the screen; it’s a moment of inexperience.
“It’s something that we can’t really excuse, but at the same time, he’s played his heart out for the team.
“We need to be there for him.
“And then if you talk about the handball, I will pass on that discussion.
“I just want to focus on getting the team right.”
