KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 2 — National badminton duo Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah were defeated by four-time world champions Chen Qingchen-Jia Yifan from China in today’s Olympic women’s doubles semi-finals in Paris, France.
The Malaysians ranked 12th gave a heart-stopping show at the Porte de La Chapelle Arena this afternoon (Malaysian time) against the world number one Chinese pair, but ultimately lost the match 21-12, 18-21, 21-15 in three sets.
