Chelsea could sanction another huge transfer immediately after finalising a deal to sign Pedro Neto. Despite links to Arsenal and Tottenham, it will be the Blues acquiring Neto's signature after agreeing to pay Wolves after agreeing a fee worth £51.4million plus £2.6m in add-ons,football.london understands.

With Neto's arrival imminent, Enzo Maresca will soon be inundated with attacking options. Alongside the Portugal international, Samu Omorodion is expected to be announced as a new Chelsea player following a £35million agreement being reached with Atletico Madrid.

Those two summer signings are now set to compete for four spots in Maresca's frontline alongside the likes of Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling. Marc Guiu is another attacker that has impressed in pre-season with Armando Broja and Angelo Gabriel still on the club's books.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall also has the versatility to play further forward with it abundantly clear Chelsea need to sanction some exits. Both Broja and Angelo are expected to be playing their football away from West London this season, but it feels as though a significant departure is needed and that could be on the way soon.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are interested in signing Sterling and have already launched an enquiry to understand the conditions of a potential deal. Chelsea spent £47.5million to sign Sterling from Manchester City in 2022, but it would likely be a loan move to the Italian club.

Sterling has already dismissed talk of a transfer to Saudi Arabia, though his recent difficulties at Chelsea and the impending arrival of Neto, could see his exit stance change.

Chelsea have already sold Omari Hutchinson, Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson with Conor Gallagher following that trio. With the Blues acquiring well over £100million in player sales, it is not paramount that Sterling also leaves on a permanent basis.

However, sharing a portion of his loan wages with Juventus for the next nine months could give Chelsea some financial wiggle room to consider other market opportunities and certainly help their financial fair play situation.
