POCO X5 and X5 Pro is now official, early bird prices at RM999 and ...

POCO has officially unveiled the X5 and X5 Pro mid-range phones. Like their predecessors, these phones are nothing short of impressive when it comes to their specs sheet and value, both phones feature 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED displays with a 240Hz sampling rate and 5000mAh batteries.

In terms of power, the X5 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G chipset while the regular X5 is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset, both phones offer up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage but only the X5 will support storage expansion with a MicroSD card.

Although they sport the same display sizes and refresh rate, their panels differ slightly as the X5 Pro’s display supports 10-bit color, Dolby Vision and 1920Hz PWM dimming and a surprisingly low 900 nits peak brightness, the regular X5’s display then has a 1200 nits peak brightness and supports DCI-P3 colors, they are nonetheless very good displays but the former should offer a better HDR video viewing experience despite the low brightness.

The POCO X5 series are equipped with triple camera arrays, the X5 Pro has a 108MP main camera while the X5 has a lower 48MP main camera, their supplementary cameras are the same 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro lens. The X5 Pro will have better camera features than the X5 all thanks to the more powerful ISP and NPU of the Snapdragon 778G chipset, as it enables 4K video recording at 30 fps and faster camera performance than the X4 Pro.

As for selfies, the POCO X5 and X5 Pro features 16MP and 13MP front cameras respectively.

The X5 Pro has other advantages over the X5 including faster 67W charging, WiFI 6 connectivity, X-axis linear motor, and stereo speakers.
