The record eight-time winner, where the Matildas star has been a regular since a move to France in 2020, scored three times in the final 10 minutes of last week's first leg to take a narrow 3-2 lead into the return fixture at Parc des Princes.

However, it was quicker out of the blocks in the second leg, with just three minutes on the clock when Selma Bacha drilled home from range for her first UEFA Women's Champions League strike in five-and-a-half years.

Tabitha Chawinga responded before the break to reduce PSG's aggregate deficit to a single goal, but Melchie Dumornay put the tie beyond doubt nine minutes from time, as Sonia Bompastor's side set up a final showdown with Barcelona on 26 May (AEST).

Lyon continued its dominance over PSG in these semi-final encounters, having now progressed from each of their past four such ties.

The eight-time champion lost the first two semi-finals it contested in this competition, but has now won each of the past 10, and will seek a record-extending ninth title in Bilbao next month.

Carpenter has already won two UEFA Women's Champions League titles since moving to Lyon, the first in her debut season in 2020 and again 12 months later in 2021-2022. She has also claimed two league titles with the club and two Coupe de France Feminine crowns.
