Frenchman Kylian Mbappé stated in his first words as a Real Madrid player that his "dream has come true" after a "difficult journey" with "many things happening," which he was able to complete thanks to Florentino Pérez, who believed in him "from day one."

"Good morning, everyone. I'm going to try to speak in Spanish. Wow, it's incredible to be here. I've dreamt for many years of playing for Real Madrid, and today my dream is coming true. I'm a very happy boy today. Very happy," he began his speech.

"Thanks to the president, Florentino Pérez, who has believed in me from the first day. Many things have happened. And to all the people who have worked to get me here. I know it's been difficult, but I'm here, I'm a Real Madrid player, and my whole family is happy, with my mom crying...," he added.

Mbappé endeared himself to his new fans with his words and a gesture, kissing the Real Madrid crest.

"It's an incredible day for me. It means a lot to me. Thanks to all Madridistas because you have given me affection and love for many years, and that's in my heart. Thank you all for being here today," he declared.

"I have another dream. To live up to this club, the best in the world. I will give my life for this club and for this badge," he continued.

The Frenchman also wanted to send a message to the younger generation, recalling when he dreamed of playing for Real Madrid.

"I have a message for all the kids. I was like you, I had a dream, and today I have advice for you. With passion and dreams, you can achieve anything you want. Today I'm here, but I was once like you," he assured.

"I'm very emotional. I'm proud to be a player of the club of my dreams and the greatest in the history of football," he added.

Mbappé didn't want to "talk more" to avoid "crying," and he closed his speech with a "one, two, three, Hala Madrid!" cheered by the fans who filled the Santiago Bernabéu to welcome him.
