The queue for the ROG Ally free RM1,299 bundle has started, 12 ...

The ROG Ally debuted in Malaysia just a couple of weeks ago and during its first online sale sold out in just seven minutes. Of course, it likely helped that Asus Malaysia was throwing in a complimentary bundle worth RM1,299 with the ROG Ally during their first online sale. Many lamented missing out on the first sale promo, but Asus also revealed that the same offer would return during their first roadshow at Plaza Low Yat on 1 July, 10am.

We stopped by Plaza Low Yat at 3am in the morning before the start of the roadshow, and despite the rain, a line of just over 50 people had formed. Many of them had brought along their own chairs, with a number of people in line also laying on the floor resting by then. A few of them were also grouped up on the side having a chat.

In fact, the first people in queue has been here at Plaza Low Yat apparently since 8am—not 8pm, 8am. Nazim, who hails from Maldives, didn’t seem like he was here as a scalper here either; when quizzed about whether he would sell his ROG Ally or even his place in the queue, he said no and that he wanted to play games with the ROG Ally. Adib, fifth in queue, arrived at Plaza Low Yat sometime later at 7.30pm, and according to him the queue only really started to form around 10pm, which is still 12 hours before the ROG Ally roadshow is scheduled to start.
