Sabah FA women’s team gets sponsorship boost

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah FA women’s team competing in the 2023 National Women’s League Championship starting tomorrow (Sunday) was given a boost on Friday. They received sponsorship of Maxumax jerseys in a symbolic ceremony from the brand’s representative Mohd Akmal Mohd Yasin presented to Safa (Sabah Football Association) deputy president Datuk Awang Kadin Tang. Awang said after the ceremony that they are very grateful for the sponsorship. “Sabah FA team have great potential to become champions in the tournament held for the first time this year. “This sponsorship not only helps to reduce costs but also indirectly supports the development of women’s football in the State. “We hope that there will be more parties coming forward to sponsor the team,” he said. Meanwhile, Safa president Datuk Shahelmey Yahya hopes the team’s participation in the inaugural league will further showcase the talents of Sabah women footballers.
