Pakistan's off-spinner Sajid Khan delivered an unforgettable performance on Day 2 of the second Test in Multan, taking four crucial wickets, including the prized scalp of England's Joe Root. For Sajid, the dismissal of Root was a personal milestone, one he described as his "dream wicket."

England's opener Ben Duckett hammered an aggressive century, steering England to a commanding 211 for 2 before Sajid turned the tide with a late flurry of wickets. England collapsed spectacularly from a position of dominance, losing five wickets in the final session to end the day at 239 for 6, still trailing Pakistan's first-innings total of 366 by 127 runs.

In the post-match press conference, an elated Sajid shared the significance of Root's wicket. "As soon as Joe Root came to bat, I told him I've played against your brother in England, but you are my dream wicket, so he started laughing. But that was my dream and most prized wicket today," Sajid revealed, with a smile.

Reflecting on his journey, Sajid spoke passionately about his struggles and his pride in representing Pakistan. "If I look back at my career, I've struggled a lot and gotten here. Now I'm playing for the Pakistan star on my chest, which gives me jazba. My father was from the Pakistan army, and I play just for Pakistan and for the star on my chest. All my energy and passion is because of the star, and in that, Allah gave me respect," Sajid added, his voice brimming with emotion.

Duckett's 114 off 129 balls was the highlight of England's innings, as he built steady partnerships with Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope, and Joe Root. However, Sajid's four-wicket haul, including the dismissals of Root, Duckett, and the dangerous Harry Brook, dramatically changed the momentum.

Pakistan's spinners, led by Sajid's 4 for 68 and ably supported by Noman Ali (2 for 75), dismantled England's middle order. Sajid's critical breakthroughs came within a devastating 10-ball spell, starting with Root's wicket, followed by Duckett, who had dominated with 16 boundaries before falling to Sajid's skillful bowling.

England, once cruising at seven runs per over in the early stages, crumbled under pressure. Captain Ben Stokes, returning from a hamstring injury, was dismissed cheaply for just one run, adding to England's woes.

At stumps, Jamie Smith (12) and Brydon Carse (2) were left to weather the storm, with England hoping to stage a recovery on Day 3. However, Pakistan's spinners have already exposed the visitors' vulnerable tail, leaving the match delicately poised.
