Sedition: Appellate court reduces preacher's jail time to nine months

Preacher Wan Ji Wan Hussin will only need to serve nine months in jail over a 2014 sedition case linked to the Selangor sultan.

The Court of Appeal this morning unanimously allowed Wan Ji’s appeal to reduce his sentence, which was previously enhanced by the High Court. However, the bench did not allow his appeal to quash the conviction.
