Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has been discharged from the hospital. On Wednesday (May 22), the Kal Ho Naa Ho star was admitted to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad, India after suffering from dehydration and heatstroke.

The 58-year-old was in the city to witness a cricket match between Kolkata Knight Riders (which he owns) and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Following the match, Khan fell victim to the city's weather which was reported to be 45°C.

According to the news agency Indo-Asian News Service, when Khan was admitted, his health was stable and security around KD Hospital was tightened. During his time in the hospital, Shah Rukh Khan was visited by his longtime friend actress Juhi Chawla who also owns the Kolkata Knight Riders.

On Thursday, Indian entertainment outlet Voompla reported that Khan had been discharged from the hospital and was back in Mumbai. A video on Voompla's social media pages showed a large crowd gathering to meet Khan who was shielded by a large umbrella.

Shah Rukh Khan is regarded as one of the most successful Bollywood actors of all time. In 2023, his movies Jawan and Pathaan were the highest-earning movies of the year, grossing US$140 million and US$130 million, respectively.
